How It Works

How Do Online Quran Classes Work in the Philippines?

Online Quran classes in the Philippines are live video lessons in which one student learns to read, recite or memorise the Quran with one teacher over the internet. The student sees the Quran page on screen, repeats after the teacher and is corrected straight away. At Quran Online Tarteel, every teacher is female and every class is one-to-one.

A Quran teacher wherever you live

Many families in the provinces and on the smaller islands have no Quran teacher nearby. With online classes, a child in Mindanao, the Visayas or Luzon gets the same live one-to-one lesson, with just a phone or laptop and an internet connection.

Who can join from the Philippines

Boys and girls under 18 and adult women can join, from first letters to fluent recitation, including women and children who are new to Islam through our Quran classes for new Muslims. We do not enrol adult men, which keeps every class comfortable for families and women.

Alongside madrasah and ALIVE classes

Many Muslim children in the Philippines learn Arabic and Islamic values at a weekend madrasah or through ALIVE classes at school. One-to-one online lessons add focused Quran reading and Tajweed practice at home, at your child's own pace.

Classes around the school day

Weekday lessons are usually booked after school, and Saturday or Sunday slots suit families who want longer lessons. School breaks are a good time to add extra days and move faster through the Qaida or Hifz.

For Women

Online Quran Classes for Women in the Philippines

Our online Quran classes for women in the Philippines are taught only by women. Mothers, students and working women learn to read the Quran, correct their Tajweed or memorise surahs privately with a female Quran teacher, at a time that fits a busy day.

Starting from the beginning

If you never learned to read Arabic, you begin with the Qaida at your own pace, one-to-one, with no group to keep up with.

Tajweed, Hifz and Tafseer

Fluent readers can move on to online Tajweed classes, the online Hifz program or Quran translation and Tafseer classes. See every option on our online Quran classes for women page.

Questions and Answers

Online Quran Classes in the Philippines: Frequently Asked Questions

How much do online Quran classes cost in the Philippines?

Monthly fees in the Philippines for Noorani Qaida, Quran reading (Nazra) and Tajweed are ₱2,600 for 2 days a week, ₱3,900 for 4 days a week and ₱3,900 for weekend classes (Saturday and Sunday), with 25–30 minute classes. Every new student starts with 2 free classes, so you pay nothing until you decide to continue. See the full fees table for every course.

Do you teach families in Manila, Mindanao and Cebu?

Yes. We teach families anywhere in the Philippines, including Metro Manila, Cotabato, Marawi, Zamboanga, Davao, Cebu and the islands of Sulu, Basilan and Tawi-Tawi. All classes are online and booked in Philippine time, so it makes no difference where you live. You only need a phone, tablet or laptop and a steady internet connection.

Are there online Quran classes for women in the Philippines?

Yes. Women of any age in the Philippines can learn to read the Quran, improve Tajweed, memorise surahs or study translation and Tafseer with a female teacher. Classes are private and one-to-one, and many mothers book lessons while children are at school. We do not enrol adult men. See our online Quran classes for women.

What class times are available in the Philippines?

Classes run in the late morning, after school, in the evening and at weekends, all in Philippine time. Pakistan is three hours behind the Philippines, so afternoons and evenings are the easiest times to book. Early mornings in the Philippines are very early in Pakistan, so ask us first if you need one. The Philippines does not change its clocks, so your class time stays the same all year.

Can new Muslims in the Philippines learn with you?

Yes. Women and children who have recently embraced Islam can start from the very first Arabic letters with a patient female teacher, with no group to keep up with. Lessons can also cover salah and daily duas, so learning connects to daily life from the start. See our Quran classes for new Muslims.

How do I pay for online Quran classes from the Philippines?

Families abroad usually pay by bank transfer or Western Union, or a relative in Pakistan pays for them by JazzCash, Easypaisa or bank transfer. The fee is paid monthly, in advance, and we share the payment details on WhatsApp after your 2 free classes. We do not take card or PayPal payments at the moment. The monthly fees in Philippine pesos are in the fees table on this page.

Do your teachers teach in English?

Yes. Our teachers explain in English or Urdu, so children in the Philippines who study in English at school can follow every lesson easily. Classes are not taught in Filipino or other local languages, and the Quran itself is always read in Arabic. Tell us your child's age and level when you book and we will match the right teacher.

What happens if the internet stops during a class?

If an internet or power problem stops a class at the teacher's end, we always make the class up, at the weekend or on any weekday your child is free. If the problem is at your end, please message your teacher as early as you can. Those classes are not automatically made up, but she will try her best to fit one in.

Are classes held during Ramadan?

Yes. Classes continue through Ramadan, so your child keeps up the habit of daily Quran in the blessed month. The class timings change, and we agree new times with you before the month begins. Classes are off on Eid and on Pakistan's public holidays, and those days are not made up. See our FAQ page for the full holiday policy.
